THE PROMENADELocation: Rockford, Michigan
Completed: 2006 Size: 34,800 S.F. The design intent was to create an “Old World” town center, including a clock tower, to serve as a focal point for the entire downtown retail district. A sense of place is created with a rich material palette of stone, stucco like walls, clay tile style mansard roofs, and details such as pseudo verandas and river front verandas. The building makeup consists of retail on the lower level with a restaurant and office space on the upper level.
