The Compuware Sports Arena is the home of the Carolina Hurricanes (formerly Hartford Whalers) Junior “A” Whalers, of the Ontario Hockey League, and Tier II Ambassadors hockey teams. The main arena has 4 private suites and 3,500 individual bucket seats with expansion capabilities to 4,000 while the second rink has 660 seats. The facility boasts a premier Greek restaurant, large pro-shop, multiple concessions, team locker suites with weight room, video room, training room, etc. The building exterior was designed to minimize the profile while brick and brick imprinted panels help the building blend in with the adjacent pond and mature woodlands.
